Vick Sorry He Got Caught

Michael Vick now says he is sorry about his involvement in a dog fighting enterprise.
Actually, what he is saying, is that he is sorry he got caught.
Vick's apology and his appeal to the public to generate some sympathy did not come until the weight of evidence overwhelmed the series of lies he's been telling everyone.
His told the NFL Commissioner, the Atlanta Falcons owner (he gave him a $130 million contract) and anyone that would listen that he didn't know anything about this dog fighting going on at his home in Virginia.
When interviewed by ESPN last spring he laughed about it and said his fans were sticking with him.
Well, when it became evident that he could no longer lie, he changed his tune.
Now he wants our forgiveness. He wants us to understand he is sorry for what he did.
What he actually wants is to stay out of jail and keep getting millions to play football.
He wants to continue to be famous and rich and to do whatever he pleases.
Vick needs to go to jail. He needs to be suspended for years.
The NFL, and its new get tough penalty for thugs, has a perfect case to flex its new muscle.
Vick is sorry he got caught. Perhaps some time in a federal prison will convince him he really did do something wrong.

In regards to Vick, I do agree he is sorry, sorry for getting caught, for possible ruining his career, for all this legal trouble. Even tho, I, myself am an animal lover, and think what Vick has done is deplorable, I do not believe he should go to prison or lose his job. The reason is this, The courts let convicted child molesters out on probation, and even people who have murdered out on probation. Vick did NOT kill another human being. Vick did NOT molest a child. His punishment would be better served with community service at an animal shelter and a children's shelter. He could be fined very heavily with money going to education of the humane treatment of animals. He has come out and apologized which many times, we do not here this from many criminals. We do not need to suspend him from his job. He is not getting away with anything either. Forgiveness goes along way. He should be given a chance to prove himself. If he is found in the future to break probation, or to hurt animals again, then prison would apply. I hate to say this, but cock fighting and dog fighting goes way back in our history. We just recently stopped the cock fighting. These people were raised to enjoy these activities. This is NOT an excuse, but it is history. Let's give Vick a chance. The whole country will watch his every move. And who knows, his heart might really change. I am no way related to Vick and don't even watch the pros. I want my tax money spent keeping the child molesters and murders in prison. Vick can pay another way.

Ok, let him play again, but if he doesn't live up to everyones expectations, he should be electrocuted or drowned.
