Walker, Finch, fans worth considering as OU-K-State approaches

Starting five for Saturday night's Oklahoma-Kansas State tilt:

1, Casey Walker

The senior defensive tackle picked a pretty good time to make his 2012 debut. The Sooners are going to need more push from their front four against Kansas State's well-drilled, well-fed offensive line.

2, OU kick coverage

The Sooners were solid against UTEP and Florida A&M. Busting downfield and bottling up Tyler Lockett (96-yard kickoff return last week) and Tramaine Thompson (89-yard punt return in season opener) is a whole different challenge.

3, Daryl Williams, Lane Johnson and Tyrus Thompson

Given time and a cozy pocket, Landry Jones should have a fun night. It's on OU's three tackles most of all to hold off a K-State pass rush that leads the Big 12 in sacks. (Keep an eye on right tackle Williams vs. defensive end Adam Davis in particular.)

4, The fans

It feels like the Sooners' home opener, given the drastic rise in competition from FAMU. It's the Big 12 opener, and the first Big 12 game ever carried nationally on FOX. Owen Field fans will want to give a good account of themselves.

5, Roy Finch

He gained 142 yards on 12 offensive touches in last year's victory at K-State. He was OU's leading rusher (73 yards on 9 carries) after Dominique Whaley went down. Think there's any chance... Naaaah.
