Weeden Gaining Believers

Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden wasn’t listed among the top four Heisman candidates on ESPN SportsCenter on Sunday morning.
By Sunday evening he was, according to ESPN experts, the leading Heisman candidate.
Better late than never when it comes to national attention for Weeden.
Early in the season many in the local media were saying that Weeden, the all-Big 12 quarterback in 2010, was no better than third team preseason all-Big 12 for this fall.
Weeden has played so well, and the Cowboys are playing so well, he has forced people to take notice.
It is no surprise to coaches.
“He was absolutely flawless,” said Texas Tech’s Tommy Tuberville.
Weeden engineered OSU’s 66-6 victory at Tech on Saturday.
“He’s like an offensive coordinator out there,” said Tuberville.
Weeden leads the Cowboys at Iowa State on Friday.
“Weeden has no weaknesses to his game,” said Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads.
The Cyclones know the Cowboys are rolling in high gear as they get to Ames.
“There are no blemishes on them as an offensive team,” said Rhoads.
