What does Keiton Page have to say about R-E-S-P-E-C-T?

After Oklahoma State’s most recent defeat, coach Travis Ford told reporters he is “sick” of senior guard Keiton Page not getting enough respect on the court.

Ford said opponents are “all over” Page and suggested that guys in black-and-white striped shirts aren’t calling enough fouls on Page’s defenders.

Does Page have anything to say about that? He was given an opportunity to weigh in on the subject before a Monday practice. Page indicated he’ll do his job (play ball) and let Ford do the talking.

“I don’t have time to worry about it,” Page said. “I’m worried about our other guys out there on the floor and trying to get in the right offenses and trying to get in the right defenses and stuff like that. I do feel myself getting bumped a little bit, but I’m not too worried about it. I’m focused on trying to get wins and, like I said, I’m out there on the court thinking about a million other things at that point.”

If Page agrees with his coach and is merely taking the high road, that’s exactly the right move. If he sounded off that he was getting beaten up or that refs weren’t showing him the proper respect, he would come off as a whiner or complainer. Right?

“Yeah, like I said, I’m not too worried about it,” Page said. “I am worried about other things out there. That’s coach Ford’s job. Coach Ford is supposed to get on the refs like that. I am just trying to do other things out there on the court.”

Steven Tyler reminded me Of Roseann singing the National Anthem. If thats all Boston had to offer as a singer. Lord help us. It was just awful.
