When Dove Cries

Random thoughts on three totally different subjects:
--Associated Press All-Big 12 ballots are due Thursday and here's what will drive you batty when trying to pick a squad.
League leader Kansas deserves to have more than one player make All-Big 12, but the top four Jayhawks have statistics that make them virtually indistinguishable. I went with Mario Chalmers on the first team and then threw a couple more KU players on the third team.
--I never have gotten into the rivalry between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. What's the point? We're all in the same boat together. If OKC gets an NBA team, more power to them. If Tulsa gets a golf major, same deal.
Therefore, I'm rooting for OKC's big vote to pass today. A yes vote will allow the Ford Center to have the necessary tweakings to bring an NBA franchise to the state on a permanent basis.
Speaking of that, hopefully Tulsa's new downtown arena will have all the necessary tweakings already. What's the point of building a big arena if you have to spend millions to add doo-dads a few years down the road. Let's get it right the first time (and, in lieu of a major league sports tenant, can we get Neil Diamond in the joint?). It's too late for Johnny Cash, dang it.
--OSU will honor Marcus Dove and Tyler Hatch on Senior Night before a Wednesday Bedlam game. Dove said this to reporters Monday: "You always say you aren't going to cry, but it’s a whole different story when you get out there."
Dove? Cry? My inner smart aleck wants to make a Prince joke.

Everywhere around the world, they're coming to America. But seriously.... I wounder what it sounds like, when Dove cries?
