Where's Tiger?

The Tulsa World today published a list of sports figures who have hosted "Saturday Night Live."
As I scanned the list, I wondered this: Where's Tiger Woods?
Surely, SNL has asked the best golfer in the world to host the show.
I sent SNL creator Lorne Michaels an e-mail the other day asking just that question.
If I get the answer, I'll let you know.

Michaels could offer Tiger the $500 he offered the Beatles to reunite on SNL back in the '70s. I hear the Tiger clan is expecting again so I'm sure he could use the money!

Apparently, Yoko Ono and John Lennon were in favor of reuniting on the show. Or at least that's the urban legend. If you haven't read "Live from New York," a book about the history of Saturday Night Live, then you should. It's a great read.

He can't do worse than Michael Phelps. Especially if he brings wifey along.

I hate to tell you this, Jimmie, but the reason Tiger hasn't hosted the show is simple: He is an absolute bore. Have you ever heard him try and be funny or witty? It's not pretty. I can't think of anything I'd rather see less than this dullard on a comedy show. I know it, Lorne Michaels knows it- and now, Jimmie knows it.
