Bedenbaugh is West Virginia’s offensive line coach and, according to SoonerScoop.com, a leading candidate for the vacancy created when Oklahoma assistant James Patton took a job at Indiana.
Bedenbaugh, a native of St. Charles, Ill., was a four-year starting offensive lineman and college teammate of Mountaineers coach Dana Holgorsen at Iowa Wesleyan. He’s played for and coached with Mike Leach. He also was on Mike Stoops’ staff at Arizona for four years.
Bendenbaugh was asked about his style of coaching prior to his first season at West Virginia.
“In your face,” he told the Times West Virginian. “That’s the only way. I’m demanding. I’m tough. I expect a lot.”
