Winning Unsightly

Winning ugly has taken on a new meaning.

Winning ugly was Oklahoma State wearing those hideous gray uniforms Saturday.

Gray? What is gray about? Oklahoma State's uniforms aren't gray. Rain clouds are gray.

Oregon's electric ducks started the uniform nuttiness. A new look or two is fine. But it should emphasize the school colors, not some paint ball suit.

If you're going to wear colors that aren't even your school colors, anybody could do better than gray.

The first thing you thought of looking at OSU's rain cloud look was: Who is wearing that awful stuff, some junior college?

We hear that you can't even find O-State's new uniform looks in the stores. So what's the point?

They say the new looks are all about the current players. Here is somebody else it is all about: former players. And tradition.

Winning ugly should have to do with the style of play, not fashion style.

I'm not a big fan of the gray uniform either. However, on a better uniform note, the OSU Cowboy Marching Band premiered their new uniforms and moniker at the WVU game Saturday: The Brightest Band in the Land. Bright OSU orange pants are paired with a white overlay top with cowboy scalloped back yoke details.

What the heck is this? Overlays and scallops.....college foolball is supposed to be about tradition. Oh wait, osu doesn't have any, so let's focus on fashion.

The grey is much better than the head to toe, all over, make my eyeballs bleed, orange.

Oklahoma State should realize that they don't need this uniform 'gimmick'. You've got some of, if not the finest football facilities in America. Couple that with the success the Pokes have had in recent years and is it really a necessity to add the fluff of 45 different uniform combinations. No need for costumes.

Fly: orange is a school color, not gray.

Hello! If it ain't in the stores, it's wrong.

Those grey uniforms are scrimmage uniforms. Must have done so well in scimmage, they didn't want to take the risk of wearing something colorful. You'd think the QB would insist on a distinguishable color instead of the camoflage grey, so he could more easily pick out the receivers.

One thing about it is that color id out of the way, and we won't see it again. If you don't like OSU's unforms, all you have to do is wait a week.

Viewing the game on TV with OSU in those suits was like watching an old Black and White film, but the other team was highlighted in their brilliant white uniforms.

It just looked very odd indeed with all these bright white uniformed guys being chased by gray ghosts from the past.

Picker was 10-5 this week.

OSU needs to find a uniform combination and stick with it. I personally liked the black-orange-black combination from Bedlam last year.

TU should stick with a single uniform combination also. I prefer gold-blue-gold myself.

If you're complaining about uniforms you're too old.

If you like what's ugly, you're too out of it.
