Winning is Never Easy

Tulsa and Oklahoma State should feel good about winning games on the road.
Forget how good or bad you may think Alabama-Birmingham and Washington State may be this year.
Winning games, especially road games, is no small task.
If we learned nothing else on opening weekend, it should be evident that winning any game can be a challenged.
UTEP, who has high hopes in Conference USA, got ran off the field by Buffalo.
Texas A&M couldn't beat Arkansas State at home.
Arkansas needed a miraculous rally in the fourth quarter to beat Western Illinois.
So, it is about winning. Scholarship limits have leveled the playing field somewhat for everyone.
As a result, the differences are not as great as they once were.
If you catch a team on a hot roll, and you play poorly, it can happen. App State winning at Michigan last year should have been a warning to everyone.
It can happen.
So, all three state schools should feel good this week. But, don't feel too confident. There's a whole new set of challenges every week.
