Would You Take $25 million?

They say Brett Favre will make about $25 million if he plays the next two years for the Minnesota Vikings.
Any questions about why he is coming back yet again should be answered by the bottom line on his contract.
Yes, he probably misses the game. Just about every athlete I know misses the game when they retire.
However, when they say it isn't about the money, it is always about the money.
There's not a lot of jobs for guys from rural Mississippi who went to school at Southern Miss that will pay $25 million over two years. The market for those kind of jobs is pretty small.
No doubt he misses the sport. But, you better believe, it was about the money. Why would anyone walk away from $25 million?

Um, hello? There aren't a lot of jobs for ANYONE from ANYWHERE that will pay $25 million over two years. I feel that your attempt at emphasis has run over into bashing Mississippi. Do you get mad when people bash Tulsa and Oklahoma? Then don't do it to Mississippi.

He's coming back because A)he can't stand to move beyond the game, and B)he'll be eternally angry at the Packers for moving beond him. They got tired of playing "Will Brett Retire?" every year, and looked to the future. They must pay!
