You could learn a thing or several from OU coach Norvell

When you read John Hoover's practice report today, you realize the nagging issues at Oklahoma's wide receiver position. This warrants following over the coming weeks. A suggestion: check out Jay Norvell's Twitter page now and then.
The Sooners' wide receiver coach tweets daily, usually with a picture (my favorite so far is one from last weekend showing the receiving corps sitting at the Norvell dinner table), occasionally with a link.
He doesn't post his personal takes on the progress of his players, but the stories he links to typically do. It is an informative page that doesn't cross some kind of behind-closed-doors line.
Seems as though the 47-year-old Norvell has a better handle on social media/networking than the 18-to-24-year-old demographic that Twitter was supposedly created for. Good on ya, Coach.
"I don't know, I'm just messing around with it to see how it works," Norvell said recently. "It's just being able to communicate with people and get information out about our program. And it's good. A lot of kids are starting to be on it more. A lot of coaches are on it. A lot of parents are on it more. We're trying to find every way we can to keep up with our recruits."
