Child placement nonprofits merge

Tulsa-based child placement agency Dillon International Inc. is uniting with Dallas-based Buckner Children and Family Services, the nonprofits said Thursday.

Buckner's adoption and maternity services will operate with the Dillon name, according to a statement released by the nonprofits. The affiliation is effective Jan. 1.

The deal will help strengthen both agencies, Dillon's executive director, Deniese Dillon, said in a statement.

"We've had close ties to Buckner and their leadership for many years," she said. "Their mission to help orphans and underserved children on a global scale has also been our mission and heart since we started our ministry."

Dillon was founded in 1972 to meet the needs of South Korean orphans and has expanded to include adoption and humanitarian aid.

The Williams Co. Inc. board of directors has approved a regular dividend of 11 cents on the company's common stock, payable Dec. 29 to holders of record at the close of business Dec. 12, the Tulsa-based pipeline company announced Thursday.

The company said it has paid a common stock dividend every quarter since 1974.
