Local architectural firm earns Central States honor
An Oklahoma City-based architectural firm with an office in Tulsa was honored with a merit award during the Central States Region Excellence in Design Awards program, held in Des Moines, Iowa, in October.
Miles Associates Inc. was honored by the American Institute of Architects' Central States Region for its work on Utica Place, a mixed-use development. The Central States Region is comprised of state and local chapters in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
The awards program recognizes excellence in architecture and emphasizes its importance in the community. More than 120 entries were received.
Utica Place is located at 2200 S. Utica Place. While the lower 10 floors are specifically for businesses, the building hosts 12 penthouse condominiums on the top four floors.
Single family dwellings are also planned for the southwest portion of the development.
