Williams seeks FERC nod to expand Transco pipeline

Williams Cos. Inc. is seeking federal approval of a $36 million project to expand its Transco natural gas pipeline in the Southeast, the Tulsa-based company announced Tuesday.

An expansion of the Mobile Bay South II project requires Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approval.

Set for completion in 2011, the expansion would add 380,000 dekatherms of daily transportation capacity on the Mobile Bay Lateral from Transco's mainline near Butler, Ala., to its connection with the Gulfstream Natural Gas System in Coden, Ala. By Staff and Wire Reports
