Arvest Bank has added three Kansas City area banks to its network with the acquisition and conversion of Harrington Bank.

Three former locations of Harrington Bank opened Monday as Arvest Bank marked its entry to the greater Kansas City market.

The new Arvest facilities are located in three Kansas cities — Mission, Overland Park and Olathe.

Northwest Arkansas-based Arvest announced in August that it had agreed with Harrington West Financial Group Inc., the holding company for Los Padres Bank, to purchase its Kansas City banking operations, operating as Harrington Bank.

Harrington Bank had approximately $100 million in assets.

Arvest Bank operates more than 220 banking locations in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas through a network of 16 locally managed banks, each with its own board of directors and management team. The banks serve customers in 90 communities with 12-hour weekday banking at most locations.

Arvest, with assets at a reported $10.6 billion, said it plans to expand in the greater Kansas City market.
