Over the past decade Claremore has experienced growth rates that exceed state averages. Claremore/Rogers County has been ranked as the fastest and second fastest growing city and county seat in Oklahoma. The geographic location of Claremore and the easy accessibility from major highways, turnpikes, airports, rail system, and the proximity to the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigational System allows Claremore to be the gateway to beautiful northeast Oklahoma.

Residents enjoy raising their families in the home-town atmosphere where the superior quality of life is reflected in education, health care, recreation, shopping, and in our area churches. Claremore and Rogers County offer a skilled and motivated work force and several industrial parks.

Claremore is a tourist dream. In one weekend you can visit museums, attend annual festivals, antique shops, and take in an event at the city’s Expo Center. Entertainers, playwrights, actors, and even an astronaut have called Claremore area home.
These include Will Rogers, Lynn Riggs, Patti Page, J.M. Davis, Stuart Roosa, Blue Starr, and our newest neighbor Garth Brooks.

The area enjoys a mild climate, with an early spring, a warm fall, and a mild winter. The average annual temperature is 57 degrees, with seasonal averages of 34 degrees in winter, 62 degrees in spring, 81 degrees in summer, and 64 degrees in the fall. The average annual rainfall is 25 inches, and the annual snowfall is nine inches.

Oklahoma’s favorite son, Will Rogers said “I think the time will come when everybody will be made to stop off at Claremore on their way to any place they may be going.”

The Claremore Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to come early and stay late . . . come for a little while or a long time . . . you have an open invitation! Claremore is “a progressive community recognized for its’ historical past and its’ vision for the future!”
