As a Tulsa native, Peter McGraw learned early on about the rich history of the great Creek Council tree. Over the centuries, this majestic oak has borne witness to the changing tides of history. A Family Legacy
Like this solid oak, Peter’s family has been deeply rooted in this cosmopolitan, yet neighborly area. While he was growing up, Peter watched his father build the thriving real estate business that bears his name. For years, the McGraw family has been a vital part of the community, helping countless families and many generations of Tulsa residents realize their dreams of home ownership.
Back to His Roots
Inspired by the legacy of natural landmarks like the Creek Council tree, Peter pursued environmental studies in college. After earning his degree, he spent several years working as an elk hunting and trout fishing guide in Crested Butte, Colorado. As a guide in the rugged wilderness, he was totally responsible for the welfare and safety of others. His physical and mental abilities were constantly tested. Peter believes that this was a defining experience that helped him to develop the determination, confidence and strength of will that are now deeply ingrained in his character. After several years as a guide, Peter decided it was time to think about settling down. Family ties and his love of the Tulsa area soon drew him back to his roots, where he would fulfill his dream to start a family of his own.

Peter’s wilderness experience proved to him that he had what it takes to be successful at whatever he chose to do. He knew that meaningful interactions with people were important to him, as was the excitement of new challenges. Endowed with an entrepreneurial spirit, he wanted to create his own legacy.
