Chuck Patterson, as broker of Patterson, Realtors is on a mission. His quest is a huge challenge. He has been on his task for more than 30 years, but feels in his heart it must be done. He also knows he may not achieve his goal during his lifetime, but what he starts, others will, hopefully, finish.
Chuck truly believes everyone deserves the right to a safe and affordable, quality place to call home – this is his mission. Early in his career he became convinced it was important to give back to your community and dedicated himself to promoting area economic development and more specifically to improving housing.
Starting in the 1990’s, Chuck was instrumental in convincing the Resolution Trust Corporation to donate a crime ridden dilapidated apartment complex, Towne Square, to the City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Housing Authority. Block grant funds were obtained, leading to the construction of 73 new homes and the revitalization of an entire area of south Tulsa. This effort helped stabilize the neighborhood, increased local school attendance, reduced crime, created pride of ownership and increased area property values.
Chuck now serves as a Commissioner for the Tulsa Housing Authority. He has assisted the Authority with property acquisitions to rehabilitate dilapidated houses to make room for new, affordable housing. From 2000 to 2005, Chuck served as a member of the Hope VI Advisory Board overseeing the demolition of the Osage Hills Apartments and construction of the new Country Club Gardens complex in North Tulsa. Chuck also donated time and compensation and coordinated the Authority’s and private entities successful effort to build quality, affordable homes in this and other areas of North Tulsa.
Chuck truly believes the future of our Cities centers around stabilizing neighborhoods and the availability of quality affordable housing. He believes as Realtors, we should be dedicated and commit our efforts to provide housing that ensures our future.
Chuck has been opening doors, unselfishly for over 30 years.
