Tulsa councilor proposes extra sales tax for public safety, parks

Councilor Jack Henderson plans to stop merely talking about the need for more public-safety funding Tuesday and propose a public vote on a penny increase in the city’s sales-tax rate to benefit the Police, Fire and Parks departments.
