Cookies are also used for your shopping process. As you add items to an order, your shopping cookie is updated, giving you a quick and efficient shopping experience.

Why aren't all of the stories published in the Tulsa World also published online?

Tulsaworld.com publishes all stories produced by the Tulsa World newspaper with the exception of most syndicated columns, horoscopes and comics pages. These columns require a republication fee, which we’ve chosen to avoid in order to keep subscription costs low.

You can see those features on the site by looking at the portable document format (pdf) of every page of the newspaper by clicking here.

How can I buy an old copy of the Tulsa World?

Back copies are kept for about 90 days. After that they are recycled. You can contact the back copies desk at (918) 581-8584.

How can I purchase photos?

Does the Tulsa World have an archive department or library?

The Tulsaworld.com archive database serves as an official record of the newspaper and has all Tulsa World and Tulsa Tribune articles from 1989 to date. We refer our readers to the Tulsa City-County Library for stories published before 1989.

Where are the archives located on the site?

The site or section searches are at the top of each page. You can search by section, the entire site or just the archives.

Why can't I find the story I'm looking for in your archives?

An archive search result is closely tied to the keywords you use to initiate the search. Failure to find the story being sought after only one or two tries isn’t unusual. The search results narrow as the keywords become more specific.

The search engine will display only the last 500 stories that fit the parameters of the search. For this reason, common worlds like “Tulsa” and “Oklahoma” or “football” would not give you good results for a search.

Computers were not routinely used by the Tulsa World or Tribune newsrooms prior to 1989. Stories that were published prior to this date are not available online. We refer our readers to the Tulsa County Library for stories that date before 1989.

Can I put something I find on Tulsaworld.com on my Web site?

Everything found on Tulsaworld.com is copyrighted. Republishing anything from our Web site without permission is against the law. Users may copy the material for personal, noncommercial use provided they have obtained written permission from Tulsaworld.com by e-mailing webmaster@tulsaworld.com.

Please see our copyright statement for more information.

Can you e-mail a previously published story to me?

No. Our archive database is searchable by keyword and contains every story published by the Tulsa World and Tulsa Tribune since 1989. We refer our readers to the Tulsa County Library for stories that date before 1989.
