SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (AP) -- A soldier who died
in a Black Hawk helicopter
crash this week in a troubled Afghan province has been identified as a 30-year-old Oklahoma
man assigned to the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, the Army said Friday.
Sgt. Daniel Lee Galvan of
Moore was killed when the helicopter carrying 15 soldiers and
Marines developed mechanical
problems and crashed Thursday.
Galvan was assigned to the division's 2nd Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment. He was one of
four troops injured in the crash.
Schofield officials said Galvan's
wife had no comment.
