The Big 12 released its preseason team Friday morning, and it included three players from OU and three players from Oklahoma State.

Making the first team for the Sooners were Smith – at defensive back and at punt returner – junior offensive lineman Duke Robinson and senior kicker Garrett Hartley. Cowboys selected to the first team were senior receiver Adarius Bowman, sophomore kick returner Perrish Cox and junior punter Matt Fodge.

In other awards, Texas sophomore quarterback Colt McCoy is the preseason offensive player of the year and Nebraska quarterback Sam Keller, a transfer from Arizona State with one year of eligibility remaining, is the league’s newcomer of the year.
