ALVA -- The murder trial of a Woodward County woman resumes Monday in Alva.
Katherine Rutan is charged with first-degree murder of her 6-year-old son Logan Lynn Tucker.
The boy hasn't been seen since June, 2002 .
In testimony last week, jurors were told Rutan once said she wished she could find a way to kill her children and get away with it. And a document prepared by Rutan's father says two months before Logan disappeared he asked if he and his younger brother could live with the grandparents in Florida.
Prosecutors also presented photos they say show Rutan taking part in a topless contest just days after Logan disappeared.

How could she not remember or know what happened to her child?! I truly believe this woman murdered her child. She will not only have to pay while on this earth, but she will have to meet her maker one day. At least little Logan is with the good Lord above so that he will not have to suffer any longer with an animal like his mother. God Bless his soul. I hope Logan's younger brother can find peace and happiness in his life.

Who the heck is Pollard?

What kind of sick person kills the little children that God has entrusted us to take care of? I personally think that kid killers should be put in general population while in prison, so they can "PAY" for what they have done. Inmates are not kind to kid killers and rapists. I would like to smack that smug look off her face.

#5 - Pollard is her married name. Rutan I think is her maiden name.

But her son's last name is Tucker? Anyway, 8/26/06 Katherine and her boyfriend filed a "Common Law Marriage" affidavit so that is more than likely where the Pollard came from.

Whew! Thank you, I think, for the information on Pollard aka Retan aka Tucker.
It only matters when the Judge sentences her.

Females likes this should have to be sterilized. Instead horrible mothers like this continue to have kids. I see it all the time. They should not be allowed the privilege to ever have anymore kids. No wonder our world is so screwed up.

I swear...why are these monsters allowed to have children?? I know a hundred poeple would would have gladly taken her "inconvenience" and loved him as their own. Why did I have to wait 3 years to have a baby, and 3 years later, can still not get pregnant with a second...yet she's able to murder hers?

Were these children ever in the system, did they ever appear in court, did she ever receive assistance through the Department of Human Services? Were there ever any signs of neglect or abuse concerning the children? Did they (the family) have a case worker. Just a few questions that we should ask.
