Two people whose car broke down along the Broken Arrow Expressway were fatally injured when they were hit by a passing car.

Tulsa police officer Leland Ashley said 18-year-old Elyse Cannon and 20-year-old William Strawn died at the scene of the crash, which happened about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the pair stopped at the scene, and Ashley said no arrests were made. The name of the driver was not immediately released.
