OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An Edmond man whose body was found in a McClain County ditch might have been the victim of a hate crime, investigators said.

Police have not named a suspect in the death of Steven Domer, 62, who was last seen alive near several gay bars in Oklahoma City.

But authorities have searched the home of a McClain County man who they have said belongs to a white-supremacist gang that might be tied to the killing.

Domer was last seen leaving what an investigator called a "gay neighborhood" in northwest Oklahoma City on Oct. 26, records show.

A witness told investigators that he and Domer approached two men but that he left because he felt "uncomfortable with the situation." He said he thinks Domer returned to meet the two men later.

Domer's body was found Nov. 4 dumped in a ditch. He had been bound with duct tape, and a wire hanger was wrapped around his neck, the affidavit says. His car was found burned Oct. 30.

Police searched Darrell Madden's McClain County home Nov. 6, seizing a computer, disks and a spiral notebook labeled as a "Hitler letter." They also took burned wires and clothes hangers with duct tape on them and three hand-operated winches with duct tape on them, records show.

A witness led investigators to a page on MySpace.com that the witness said Madden created. That page promotes a white-supremacy gang.

Madden was arrested last week and charged with murder in the Nov. 7 killing of Bradley Qualls in Ardmore.

Police say Madden and Qualls are members of the same white-supremacist gang, the United Aryan Brotherhood.
