Giuliani looks at OKC storm damage
By Associated Press

Last Modified: 12/14/2007 9:40 AM
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, who canceled a scheduled public appearance in Oklahoma City because he didn't want to disrupt storm cleanup efforts, went ahead with a private fundraiser and took a look at ice damage.
Mayor Mick Cornett took Giuliani on a 45-minute tour of some of the hardest-hit areas in older neighborhoods north of downtown on Thursday.
They also went to the Oklahoma City National Memorial in downtown Oklahoma City, where Cornett told Giuliani how workers and volunteers protected the Survivor Tree by dislodging ice from it with long poles.
The 90-year-old American Elm was left standing after the deadly bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building in 1995.
Giuliani and Cornett stopped twice, once to thank utility repair crew members from Lafayette, La., for coming here to help and another time to see a large tree that was uprooted by the ice.
"He was amazed that this much damage had occurred without it being wind-aided," Cornett said. "The damage we've got is because of the weight of the ice."

Too bad he didn't come to Tulsa where the real damage is. I drove through OKC on the way to Dallas. They have so much less damage there. Didn't Gvnr Brad Henry make the same observation when he was in Tulsa?

At least he showed up, unlike our governor who was more concerned about interrupting his vacation.

Rudy understands our situation since he is such an expert on 911. He will probably announce Oklahoma should drop nukes on Kansas because of the ice storm since the cold weather came from the north.

RON PAUL '08!
RON PAUL will stop the military from it's expermimentation with weather control and hegemonic mind control by spreading chemtrails in pretty patterns in the skys over the USA. THats what causing these freakish weather patterns not Al Bore's global warming.
Send Rudy Soprano back to New York! Other people talk about the weather but RON PAUL will actually do something about it!
VOTE FOR RON PAUL IN 2008!

Maybe Rudi will say he was mayor of OKC when the bombing and ice storm occurred. I'm sure there are enough idiots who would think that would qualify him to run our country further into the ground.

Oh please. Ron Paul has the support of every neo-Nazi group in the country so if that's your guy, that says a lot about you. You might as well vote for Kucinich.

Let's see Ron Paul is pro-life, pro-immigration enforcement, and the only candidate talking about cutting out parts of our bloated government. He also has some integrity unlike the rest of these buffons. That sounds good to me even if neo-Nazis like him.
The neo-Nazis like him because he will actually do something about illegal immgration instead of just talking about it.

Ron Paul '08!
Unlike Giuliani, Ron Paul will protect the unborn, stop illegal immigration and gay marriage, annex the Sudetenland, and return the federal government to its constitutional limits. Ron Paul for President!

To #6 Carol - I don't know when you conducted your survey of every neo-nazi group in America, but what I DO KNOW about Ron Paul is:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
_
I also know you are one of the uneducated masses that believes everything the bought and paid for mainstream media tells you.

#9 you are wrong. Ron Paul will leave abortion legislation to the states where it belongs. He also doesn't want the federal government regulating marriage and wants it also left to the states. Your jab about Sudetenland tells me you are just attempting to take a shot at the only person running for president that wants to actually follow the Constitution.

Google the movie "America: From Freedom to Fascism." It's free. You'll see what Ron Paul has to say, not that mafiosa S.O.B. Giuliani who was so gung ho to cover up 911 evidence.
BTW, #4 was right: Ice storm was compliments of the shadow government and their chemtrails.
Y'all get ready for Saturday now ya here.

The people living in la-la land are the 99% of Americans too ignorant to know their government belongs not to them, but to special interersts that care nothing about liberty.
If wanting to return our republic to true liberty and the limited federal government the founders intended is nothing but a pipedream, then we are all toast.
I would wager my right arm that all you knuckleheads bad mouthing Dr. Paul have never educated yourself about his record and background. You are merely spewing the nonsense you have heard idiots on CNN and Fox spoon feed you knowing you are not smart enough to actually read up and learn something.

I'll bet $10 that Rudy will later claim that he spent hours clearing ice off of that tree and that he was happy that his effort kept it from being uprooted.

During the past several months, UTW has periodically reported on plans among some Washington elites to bring about a "North American Community" in which the United States, Canada and Mexico would be integrated into a single entity modeled after the European Union. The body would share infrastructure, common regulating agencies and laws, and no actual borders would exist between the three nations. This is great news. Now the Mexican farmers can hire local people to work in their fields, because Mexico will be part of the US,and can get goverment grants.

how did this comment thread get sidetracked from Guiliani surveying ice damage to debating the validity of Ron Paul's campaign? And Gov. Henry didn't come immediately back to OK from Hawaii because the airports were closed.

Hey #20 Confused. I cam back from Hawaii on Tuesday. The airport was closed but that did not deter me from driving from Dallas. There are no direct flights from Tulsa or OKC to Hawaii. Plus Gov. Henry has th luxury of a state plane to fly him from Dallas or wherever into one of the airports. They were not all closed in Oklahoma. If he wanted to come home, he would have been here.
