Judge strikes request to dismiss Lindsay Roberts from ORU suit
Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts, wife of former Oral Roberts University President Richard Roberts, remains a defendant in a lawsuit filed last fall by former professors.
Lindsay Roberts' attorneys had asked Tulsa County District Court to dismiss the lawsuit against her, but Judge Rebecca Brett Nightingale decided Monday afternoon to let the lawsuit go forward.
Former professors Tim and Paulita Brooker are suing both Robertses and others for allegedly causing them to lose their jobs and more.
They allege they lost their jobs because Tim Brooker, along with former plaintiff John Swails, who settled his part of the lawsuit in January, turned over a report of the Roberts family's alleged wrongdoing to ORU administrators. The report was allegedly compiled by Lindsay Roberts' sister, Stephanie Cantees.
Richard Roberts said last fall that the report consisted of false rumors, and he denied any wrongdoing.
On Monday, Nightingale asked Diane Hinkle, an attorney for the Brookers, to point out the "factual allegations" in the lawsuit that could support the claims that Lindsay Roberts played a part in allegedly causing the Brookers emotional distress, conspiring against the Brookers and interfering with the Brookers'
employment contracts.
Hinkle read from the lawsuit, saying Cantees, on behalf of Lindsay Roberts and others, pledged to destroy Paulita Brooker's career if all copies of the Cantees report were not returned to her.
Nightingale decided that factual allegation could potentially support the legal claims against Lindsay Roberts.

Losers...Students and the naive Tulsans who were scammed by the 'spirits begone' prophets who live in Heaven on Earth.
Hate to be the Roberts on their Judgement DAy.
May the Lord have Mercy on them.

There is no trial date set, and there won't be for a while. This is in state court, which means it could drag on for years.

The losers are the students that is for sure! RR & LR should be ashamed of themselves for the mess that they have gotten the University into. I wish the IRS would get involved in this case, there has to be illegal activity going on for them to be spending money like they were with the University in such bad financial status.

Why don't all of you wait until the final trial judgement before calling anyone names or accusing anyone? In my opinion, anyone who accuses and judges now is like a blind man throwing stones. Let's have the proof out in the open (in court and not hearsay) before anyone should open their mouth or pen. If you aren't without sin, throw the first stone. "Judge not unless you want to be judged."
