Oklahoma State senior Brandon Pettigrew and Oklahoma junior Jermaine Gresham are among 30 players on the watch list for the John Mackey Award, presented annually to the top tight end in college football.
Gresham also is on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which goes to college football's top player. Pettigrew previously was named as a preseason candidate for the Rotary Lombardi Award, which honors the nation’s top lineman.
Pettigrew was a first-team all-Big 12 tight end in 2007, finishing the season with 35 receptions (15.4 yards per reception). Entering his senior season, the Tyler, Texas, native needs 22 yards to reach the 1,000 mark in career receiving yards.
The 6-foot-6, 261-pound Gresham was an honorable mention All-American last year by Sports Illustrated after making 37 catches for 518 yards and 11 touchdowns. The TD figure was the second-highest in school history. Gresham, from Ardmore, ranks No. 11 all-time at Oklahoma with 12 touchdown catches.

Wow!
It's nice to see an OSU player in the photo and in the lead position in the headline.
...a sure sign of the apocalypse.
