Gambling raid conducted on Altus vets' hall

ALTUS — Law enforcement officers raided a veterans' bingo hall and seized several computers, cash and other equipment they contend was used to support an illegal gambling operation.
District Attorney John Wampler says tips from the public led to Tuesday night's raid of the Vietnam Veterans Association Bingo Hall in Altus.
He says customers were able to purchase access codes from an employee and then use the computers to play slot-machine-style games on computers loaded with special software.
Wampler says his office hasn't determined whether the business owner will be charged.
An employee of the bingo hall said the business had no comment.

Vets fought for our freedoms, not to take freedom. I think some of them would like to be free to gamble. Weather you gamble in a vet hall or wallstreet, its up to you.

Don't you get it? Gambling in Oklahoma is only okay if it involves college football, scratch-offs or if it is done on the ever-sacred Indian Land. All gambling that falls out of these parameters is the work of the devil and should be punished.
