Aerosmith and ZZ Top will perform at Tulsa's BOK Center with ZZ Top on July 30. Tickets for that show go on sale 10 a.m. April 25.
Tickets are $49.50, $89.50 and $200, plus fees, and will be available online at
tulsaworld.com/BOK
,
tulsaworld.com/LiveNation
, area Reasor's stores, the Arby's Box Office at the BOK, or by calling (866) 7-BOK-CTR.
The tour, presented by "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith," starts June 10 in St. Louis. ZZ Top join the tour June 16.
The North American tour runs through September and includes stops in New York, Boston and Los Angeles.
The Aerosmith lineup — Steven Tyler (vocals), Joe Perry (guitar), Brad Whitford (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass) and Joey Kramer (drums) — made history last year when Activision released "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith," marking the first music-based game built around the legendary music of Aerosmith.
This summer's dates follow Aerosmith's worldwide tour that encompassed 35 dates in 20 countries, including its first-ever concert in India.
Highlights included the band headlining a crowd of 50,000 fans on the second night of Hard Rock Café's London Calling event in Hyde Park.
"I have always been a huge fan of ZZ Top," Perry said in a press statement. "I toured with them with the Joe Perry Project, and those shows were unforgettable. With ZZ Top on this bill, it will definitely kick us into overdrive."
Aerosmith
has earned countless awards (including four Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Awards, and 12 MTV Awards), performed electrifying sold-out concerts around the world and have a fan-base numbering in the millions worldwide.
The band is in the studio working on a new album.

Great news for the Tulsa music scene. Now, when will the city start using the revenue from these events and put it back in the city....such as the pathetic streets? I was in town over the weekend and I have never scene such terrible streets in my life. I wonder where Tulsa would rank on the most drivable city list (if there is such a list).
Rock on!!!

$200 tickets!?!?
man...that's nuts...
I thought AC/DC was overpriced at $96, I thought the boss was absurd at $112, poison/def leopard was outta their minds at $125, and Fleetwood mac was flat out insulting people at $150...
but $200!?!
it wasn't even 15 years ago I saw the rolling stones and aerosmith play together down in houston and I got 6th row seats for less than $100 each...
ticket prices for concerts are gettin out of control.

Aerosmith is OK, but ZZ Top is worth the price of admission on their own.

hoping that the 200 dollar tickets are some kind of platinum back stage pass kinda thing.doesn't matter: if its too much then we say no.
Just saw Joe Perry on tv during the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony. He looked just like the photo above (guitar with a drawing of his wife) except now he has white streaks of hair for the skunk look.

$200 tickets welcome to the big time Tulsans. Now you're seeing why these acts have stayed away so long. It's not 1994 anymore "Have that" it's 2009 and Aerosmith and ZZ Top are Rock Icons. What do you think Mick and the boys would charge today?

RD1 and Have That, you have to thank Live Nation for the inflated prices. They are the promoters for both the Def leppard and Aerosmith tours.

Did you all notice the part about $49.50 tickets? No one is forcing you to buy front row seats, but there are more than enough people willing to pay it. If you're not one of them, sit in the upper deck. The BOK is well set up so that even the nosebleeds aren't all that bad.
