Journey to perform at Tulsa's BOK Center

Journey will perform at Tulsa's BOK Center on Aug. 5, industry site Pollstar Pro and the band's official Web site report.

Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. June 6, the BOK Center's web site shows. Ticket pricing has not been announced.

Night Ranger will open the concert.

Journey will trot the globe this summer, playing everything from monster arena fests in Dublin, Ireland, to state fairs in Indiana.

Journey's 1981 hit, "Don't Stop Believin," is the most-downloaded song ever on iTunes that was released in the 20th century.

Journey is most famous for its string of late '70s and '80s hits, including "Wheel in the Sky," "Faithfully," "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)," "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'," "Open Arms" and "Any Way You Want It." The band formed in 1973.

I made my friends suffer for listening to them. They made me suffer when I was forced to listen to them. LOL, I think I'll pass on this one, but the rest of you guys enjoy. They're popular with almost everyone.

They've gone through two previous lead singers who were both lousy, but this guy is amazing, both vocally and for his stage presense. Also has a really interesting story about how he joined.
