See a calendar of upcoming events at the arena, join Tulsa World reporter Brian Barber on an exclusive video tour of the BOK Center, view 360-degree panoramas of the arena and more.
Journey will perform at Tulsa's BOK Center on Aug. 5, industry site Pollstar Pro and the band's official Web site report.
Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. June 6, the BOK Center's web site shows. Ticket pricing has not been announced.
Night Ranger will open the concert.
Journey will trot the globe this summer, playing everything from monster arena fests in Dublin, Ireland, to state fairs in Indiana.
Journey's 1981 hit, "Don't Stop Believin," is the most-downloaded song ever on iTunes that was released in the 20th century.
Journey is most famous for its string of late '70s and '80s hits, including "Wheel in the Sky," "Faithfully," "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)," "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'," "Open Arms" and "Any Way You Want It." The band formed in 1973.

Oh my gosh...I've spent my life dissing this very popular band. They're from my era, but I haated their music. I made my friends suffer for listening to them. They made me suffer when I was forced to listen to them.
LOL, I think I'll pass on this one, but the rest of you guys enjoy. They're popular with almost everyone.

For those who are mourning that Steve Perry is not with them, give this new guy a chance. They've gone through two previous lead singers who were both lousy, but this guy is amazing, both vocally and for his stage presense. Also has a really interesting story about how he joined.

Steve Perry has not been the band for like 10+ years because he cannot sing anymore. Think he has vocal cord problems.

This should be interesting. Haven't heard the new singer yet myself, but have been told he sounds very much like Steve Perry. And Night Ranger makes some good music as well.

If you like them...GO to the show! The new singer has an energetic, passionate stage presence. I was very impressed last summer when I saw them....hit after hit.

Or... the band is standing in a dark secluded alley or they're all looking different directions.
