Britney brings her circus to Tulsa

The BOK Center on Wednesday announced that pop superstarlet Britney Spears will bring her "The Circus" tour to Tulsa on Sept. 15.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. June 19 at the BOK Center box office, tulsaworld.com/BOK , Reasor's, or by calling 1-866-7-BOKCTR.

"The Circus Starring Britney Spears" is a dazzling display of music, dance, magic and theatrics. It has a cast of nearly 50 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats and a traveling staff of over 200. The $50 million extravaganza travels with an unprecedented 60 tons of equipment in 34 trucks.

To date, the Circus is the highest grossing tour of 2009 in North America, a BOK Center press release said.

"I'm so excited to bring The Circus back to North America. I've made some really cool changes to the show that I think my fans are really going to love. I also get to bring the show to some new cities we missed the first time around," said Spears in a recent press statement.

Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade and to date she has sold in excess of 63 million albums worldwide. Her current album "Circus" debuted No. 1 in six countries including Canada, Switzerland, Mexico, Brazil and Japan and in the Top 10 in an additional seven countries.

Even though I'd rather the venues were reversed, I couldn't afford to go to either one of them anyway. So I'll leave it to the people with more disposible income to tell me how the concert was.

I think the BOK Arena is trying to get all kinds of acts to play here as everyone has different tastes in entertainment. Personally myself, I wouldn't go to her concert, but others would and that is fine with me. I don't like wrestling, but I think others should get to watch it just because I don't. Hopefully Ms. Spears has gotten her life going better for the sake of her sons.

On the other hand, who in their right mind would pay to see someone LIP-SYNC? This Louisiana no-talent pop-tart, lame-excuse-for-a-mother does NOT sing during her show...she lip-syncs!!!! Have you all seen the You Tube video where she freaks out when the fan walks on stage? The sound of her singing continues, but the video shows her mouthing something else when confronted by the fan. I've never been a fan of too many acts who've been dictated by the industry, but was sort of glad to see the young lady start to get her chit back together. It was painful watching her emotional upheaval antics of a year ago.
