See the video of KISS performing live earlier this week on the “Late Show with David Letterman” and get more music news at Tulsa World music reporter Jennifer Chancellor’s Barrelhouse Beat blog.
Rock act KISS will perform at Tulsa's BOK Center on Dec. 8.
KISS announced Thursday that, due to overwhelming demand, it has added five dates to their North American "KISS Alive 35 Tour." Tulsa was the first city added.
"We are thrilled that the demand for additional KISS dates has been so overwhelming," said singer and guitarist Paul Stanley in a press statement. "We're excited to show off the new pyrotechnics and costumes for our die-hard followers."
The show date is also posted to the KISS official Web site,
tulsaworld.com/KISStour
.
The site shows that other dates have allowed pre-sale tickets, VIP passes and meet-and-greet tickets. For other shows on this tour, prices range from about $20 to nearly $1,000.
KISS's tour lineup includes Tommy Thayer, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Paul Stanley.
On-sale date and ticket prices will be announced in the Tulsa World and at
tulsaworld.com
as they become available.
Added bassist and vocalist Gene Simmons, "For 35 years, KISS has rocked all over the world to sold-out crowds and
set the standard for what a rock show should be.
"This tour will solidify our place in history for having the loudest, most entertaining and hardest rockin' show in all of music."

Should be a short concert. They had, what, four hit songs?

Gene Simmons is simple minded, arrogant, unethical, filthy mouthed. Just another entertainer, that wouldn't give you a scrap of food if you were starving to death.
.
If I can find it, I will post it, what he said about colored people.
.
Ayo next time you spout off about someone being a racist think of Gene Simmons. Your smart funny guy.

There music isnt all that great, they gained most of ther fame from the makeup, nothing like a group of 60- 70 yr old looking dudes jumping around in tights, wearing makeup.

I am not, and have never been, a Kiss fan.
I'll go on record that they will sell more than 14,000 tickets.
Any takers?
Bringing popular acts to Tulsa is the purpose of the BOK Center. Well done!!!!

I couldn't tell you what songs they had. Didn't listen to them back in the 70's. KISS was never about music. It was Gene Simmon's marketing idea, and it made him millions. I don't watch much TV but catch this show from time to time. Shannon Tweed is kickazz.
