A Tulsa woman accused of engaging in video-recorded sex acts with dogs pleaded no contest Tuesday to a felony charge. Sentencing for Diane Sue Whalen, 55, is set for Oct. 17.

Tulsa County prosecutors charged Whalen and Donald R. Seigfried on June 23 with one count each of committing "crimes against nature," court records show.

Whalen entered her no contest plea without having an agreement with prosecutors regarding punishment. District Judge William Kellough made no finding of guilt, and Whalen remains free on bond to await sentencing.

Seigfried, 55, is also free on bond. His case is set on an Oct. 13 trial docket.

Police arrested the two after Whalen's son found pornographic materials that showed his mother engaged in sexual acts with her two dogs and with one dog owned by Seigfried, according to a court affidavit.

Seigfried videotaped and directed the sexual acts, the affidavit alleges.

Two dogs that Whalen owned were previously forfeited to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, and the dogs were accepted for transfer to an animal sanctuary in Utah, according to news reports.

A dog that belonged to Seigfried was also seized by investigators, reports show. That dog has not been returned to Seigfried, Assistant District
Attorney David Iski said Tuesday.
