If you could ask the president ...

Because politics is a popular topic with the election coming up, I decided to ask a few of my family members what they would ask the president for if they could ask for one thing. My great aunt, who is single, would ask him to lower taxes for single people because they are outrageously high.

My grandma would ask him to be more responsible in spending our tax dollars so our money will go farther and we won’t have to pay more taxes. My other grandma would ask him to do something about the bank situation; she wonders why they waited so long before they stepped in.

My grandpa would ask him to make a national health care plan so that health care would be affordable for everyone. My other grandpa would ask to make our country less energy dependent on other countries; he says it puts our country at risk because of the power those countries could exert on us.

If you took a survey and asked a large number of people that same question, you would probably also get a great variety of responses.
