I recently had the opportunity to interview State Senator Nancy Riley. The following is a summary of that conversation.

How long have you been a senator? Eight years.

What made you decide to go into politics? It is another avenue of public service going from being a teacher and preacher’s wife. It’s another way to serve Oklahoma.

What is the most rewarding thing about being a senator? Helping others.

What is the most challenging part of being a senator? The politics, meaning one party versus another and their ideas. It can get in the way of doing what is right.

What would you most like to accomplish through your position? To continue standing up for children and their families.
