Strain's vote

World Sports Editor Mike Strain's vote in the AP Top 25:

1. Florida: Gators will be heavy favorite in two home games before a Dec. 5 showdown with Alabama for a BCS title game berth.

2. Texas: A home game with Kansas (Saturday). A road game with Texas A&M (Nov. 26). And a Dec. 5 Big 12 title affair with some overmatched North team. Texas is a virtual lock for the BCS title game.

3. Alabama: Crimson Tide looked like a national champion Saturday. Alabama faces Chattanooga (Saturday), is at Auburn (Nov. 27) and then it's on to the SEC title-game showdown with Florida (Dec. 5).

4. TCU: Forget BCS busting. Should undefeated Horned Frogs be part of national-title game debate?

5. Cincinnati: Bearcats are off this week. Then comes a home game with Illinois (Nov. 27) and a big one on the road with Pitt (Dec. 5) for the Big East crown.

6. Boise State: Will there be two BCS busters? Undefeated Broncos hope so, because it looks like TCU will stay ahead of them.

7. Georgia Tech: Will play in ACC title game, but first there's a rivalry match with Georgia (Nov. 28).

8. Pittsburgh: Held on late against Notre Dame. Two more big ones left: At West Virginia (Nov. 27) and home vs. Cincinnati (Dec. 5).

9. LSU: Tigers fans were booing as their team struggled to beat three-win Louisiana Tech.

10. Oregon: Bounced back from loss at Stanford. Two wins away from Rose Bowl, but they're not easy — at Arizona (Saturday) and home vs. Oregon State (Dec. 3).

For the team we have on the field, our rankings are just right.
