A Texas-based search team reportedly has ended its efforts to find two women who went missing last month.

Texas EquuSearch joined the search for Cori Baker, 13, and Angie Tucker, 34, last week.

Hylan Tucker, Angie’s brother, said Saturday evening that the group had withdrawn from the search.

“They’ve done what they can do and exhausted their resources, but I don’t feel good about it,” he said.

Baker’s family had called Texas EquuSearch and asked the group to assist in finding the teen, EquuSearch officials said. The nonprofit organization operates on donations and does not accept rewards.

Baker was last seen alive Nov. 9, when her older sister’s boyfriend, Marquis Bullock, picked her up from her school. Police have arrested Bullock, 18, on murder and kidnapping complaints in connection with her disappearance, but he has not been charged.

Angie Tucker, a mother of two, was last seen Nov. 3, when she was leaving her mother’s house at Apache Street and Yale Avenue. Police believe that she may have met with foul play.

“We just want some more help with the search,” Hylan Tucker said. “As a family, we have to step up.”

He said the family is asking search volunteers to meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Rentie Grove Baptist Church, 1951 N. Lansing Ave.

Anyone with information about Tucker’s or Baker’s disappearances is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
