Oklahoma State has rocketed up college football's rankings and is having its best season in decades. Today, the Cowboys have a chance to make it even better.

OSU, ranked in the top 10 nationally, faces No. 1 Texas in one of the biggest games in school history. Kickoff is 2:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on KTUL, channel 8.

Oklahoma State was unranked when the season started. But two months later, the Cowboys are participants in one of college football's most high-profile games. OSU is No. 6 in the Bowl Championship Series standings and No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25.

The Cowboys are 7-0 for the first time since 1945, when they finished 9-0. Texas is also 7-0, including a 45-35 win over then-No. 1-ranked Oklahoma on Oct. 11.

The last time Oklahoma State was ranked in the top 10 and faced a top 10 opponent was in 1988, when No. 7 Nebraska beat No. 10 OSU 63-42.

To dream the impossible dream; to fight the unbeatable foe.......

My hopes are with them, but UT has got a defense that is better than their offense, and their offense is excellent.

But, it is football, and anything can happen!

Well I watched the game today and OSU played a great game.
Sorry they had to lose but they gave it their best.
Now get in their and win the rest of your games.

T!ger.... dude, you are wrong... if OSU would have won, that would have helped knock off Texas from that #1 spot, increasing OU's chances of making the national title game... now, it's just farther off since Texas won.

Be careful what you are glad about.

TulsaGuy,

you make a point. I still believe there is a chance of OU going to No. 1 or 2.
I mean all teams lose a game here or another.

Example: The New england Patriots...
Won every game except Superbowl.

BOOMER SOONER!
