Tulsa Elections: Read bios of candidates for mayor, City Council and city auditor and view a map of City Council districts.

Republican mayoral candidate Dewey Bartlett Jr. will speak at the Tulsa Press Club's Page One luncheon at noon Friday.

Bartlett, a local oilman and former city councilor, won the Republican nomination in the September primary.

In the campaign, Bartlett has offered himself as the more conservative alternative and as having a better temperament for the mayor's office.

Bartlett faces Democratic nominee Tom Adelson, who spoke at a Page One Luncheon last week, and independent candidate Mark Perkins, who will speak at the Press Club on Oct. 23. The general election is set for Nov. 10.

The Tulsa Press Club is in the Atlas Life Building at 415 S. Boston Ave. The cost for the event is $15 for Press Club members and $20 for nonmembers. Lunch service starts at 11:15 a.m., and the presentation will begin at noon.

Reservations are required. For more, call 583-7737 or send e-mails to mail@tulsapressclub.com.

I firmly believe, Tom Adelson will be our next mayor!
Although, I don't envy either candidate for this job. Kathy Taylor left a huge mess.
