A Sapulpa man died in a one-vehicle collision Monday morning.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Richard Barry Salter, 52, was heading east about 9 a.m. on Oklahoma 20, less than one mile east of the Will Rogers Turnpike when his truck left the roadway for an unknown reason.
Salter's vehicle struck a mailbox then continued off the road and struck a tree, troopers said.
Medics transported Salter to Claremore Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the OHP.
Troopers said it is possible that a medical condition may have led to the crash. Salter was wearing his seat belt, troopers said.
