I was shocked to learn of Mr. Newsom's passing this morning.

Does anyone know if he's had a lingering illness or if it was a sudden thing (i.e. heart attack, etc.) ??

May he RIP.

He had a wonderful on-air personality...not pushy, not boisterous. Easy on the ears and eyes.

There is a very respectful article about Mr. Newsom titled Mr. Oklahoma by Butch Bagwell at fourcamelsatsea. I always liked him on the commercials and on his outdoors program. I wish his family well. He will be sorely missed.
