Larry Dean Long, 52, of Tulsa pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of molesting a 10-year-old boy at a Glenpool residence in March.

In accordance with a plea agreement, District Judge Clancy Smith imposed a 40-year prison term that requires Long to serve at least 85 percent -- 34 years -- before he can be paroled or released.

In the plea agreement, two other molestation counts and one count of first-degree rape involving the same boy were dismissed, records show.

When interviewed in March, the boy said Long “had molested him numerous times over the past several months,” a Glenpool police affidavit states.

Assistant District Attorney Jake Cain said Long has nine prior felony convictions. That includes a case filed in 1996 in which Long pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a girl at her Tulsa residence.

He was sentenced to 20 years in prison in that case and was discharged from the Department of Corrections in 2007.

Between 1979 and 1991, Long picked up seven felony convictions for indecent exposure and one conviction for embezzlement, prosecutors asserted in court documents.

He has been in the Tulsa Jail since June 13, records show.
