Two more Oklahomans enter crowded race

Two more contenders — a Republican and an independent — say they are running for the congressional seat held by Mary Fallin.
Clark Duffe, an independent from Edmond, announced his plans Tuesday night.
Paul Arabie, a Republican from Del City, released a statement saying he is running because he doesn’t like the direction the country is heading.
That brings to seven the number of candidates running for the 5th Congressional District seat, which includes most of Oklahoma County and Seminole and Pottawatomie counties.

I'm sorry that you're so ashamed of your own state 007, I really am.

007 - is something forcing you to stay in a state that brings you such shame?

007 - Why do you care if you don't like the state?

007 - I'm not really sure why having a church on every corner has anything to do with our education being crap. I agree that too many young, unwed girls are getting pregnant...but I think that starts more at home than anywhere else. If parents raise their kids with THE RIGHT MORALES than there wouldn't be quiet so many drop-outs, teen pregnancies, gang-banger wanna-be's or all the other crap that makes Oklahoma look stupid to other states. But you can't start out by blaming that on the red or blue of a state...that is strictly on the parenting and up bringing that so many people here lack.
I see all the same crap you see, but I'm not going to sit around and care what other states think of Oklahoma, or even what other people think of me...I'm going to raise my kids to finish school and not be pregnant at 16 by the thug down the street. There is no point in bashing it if your not even bashing it for the right reasons...all the things you are complaining about start at home.

Are you telling me that all of the woes of Oklahoma are strictly the result of Mary and the church? That's an interesting opinion that you have there!

Ya know, what Mary did in her personal life aint none of my business, did that mean she couldnt do her job?Maybe she had a little more spring to her step because of it,or maybe she couldnt walk for a week, but really who cares, but Im sure Mary.As for what someone does in their personal life does not mean that they cannot do their job, does not mean that they are a bad person because they decided to have a personal life.By gosh. Now about those teen preganacies, try Trojan. As far as education goes,I have worked sise by side people with degree's.doin the same thing I was doin but only I didnt and dont have the education they have or had.I didnt ask if they have or had an affair.I'll make sure thats the first thing I ask them next time.

Yeah, and as far as the crackheads are concerned,I think they came from your state and not mine. They just come over and mingle with our crackheads who aint got enough sense to do it themselves.

seppie,
if everyone like us left, Oklahoma would then be a bigger laughing stock in the country than we already are.

Seppie,
I have been all over the country, and outside of mississippi, alabama, georgia, south carolina, we lead in all the wrong things. We can be a better state than that, but there is a ignorant, right wing bible thumping mentality in these states, and our state thats frankly is holding us back.
Now if you all think that that's fine, so be it, but until we put priorities in education, birth control, and better jobs than wal mart and mardels, all the churches and republicans are not going to fix a thing.
Hell this election is for fallin's seat and she left her husband joe while having an affiar with OHP officer when she was Lt governor, and she belongs to one of the biggest evangelical churches in OKC

LOL..... NOW YOU RIGHT WINGERS ARE TALKING. I have said this for years about President Clinton, but all the republicans said oh he lied about his affairs. The only sin Clinton made was that he did not belong to the GOP. God's Own Party!

Oklahoma is the reddest state in the Union. Independents shouldn't even bother, this state can't be helped.

Clinton dallied with a young intern in the Oval Office. If that is not an insult to the office of the presidency and the American people, then I don't know what is.
People unhappy with OK could always move to MA or NJ and revel in the joys of a sky-high cost of living and heavy tax burden that all liberal utopias have in common.
