Fallin gets monumental proposal

WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin showed up at the Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday expecting to give a tour to a female friend on a rainy night.

Instead, she was greeted by her future husband, Oklahoma City attorney Wade Christensen, who had flown to Washington to pop the question.

That's romance, D.C.-style.

"Wade and I had discussed getting married and had actually looked at a ring," Fallin, R-Okla., said.
