GUYMON, Okla. — Authorities say a Guymon woman was killed when her vehicle collided with a pickup truck on U.S. 64 in Texas County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 75-year-old Felipa Gloria Valdez was pronounced dead of massive injuries at the scene of the accident near Guymon about 4:20 p.m. Monday. She was pinned in the wreckage for about 40 minutes.

The patrol says Valdez's car was headed south on the highway when it traveled left of the center line and struck Aaron Bachman's truck. Bachman wasn't hurt.

The patrol says occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seat belts.

That says something about the kind of car the lady was driving. If the driver of the pickup wasn't hurt and she was killed, pinned in the wreckage for 40 minutes. Something wrong with that picture. Must have been an AVEO or something without much metal.
