Exec for Junior Achievement is held in porn case
ARRESTED, RESIGNED
Greg Boyd:
He was president of Junior Achievement of Oklahoma before he resigned Saturday after his arrest. Broken Arrow police reportedly found child pornography during a forensic analysis of Boyd's computer. He was held in the Tulsa Jail on $20,000 bail before being released Monday evening on bond, records show.

BROKEN ARROW — The president of a youth education group has been arrested on child pornography complaints after a search of his home computer.
Greg Boyd, 54, was president of Junior Achievement of Oklahoma and resigned after being arrested Saturday, said Alan Armstrong, the group's board chairman.
Broken Arrow police reportedly found child pornography during a forensic analysis of Boyd's computer.
He was held in the Tulsa Jail on $20,000 bail before being released Monday evening on bond, records show.
Armstrong said Boyd called him from the Broken Arrow Jail, where he initially was taken after his arrest, and resigned. He is no longer affiliated with the group, Armstrong said.
Boyd's primary duties were managerial, and he did not have day-to-day contact with children, Armstrong said. There were no indications that children from the program were involved with the material the police say they found.
According to Boyd's arrest report, officers seized the computer when they served a search warrant at his house in the 1500 block of South Nyssa Avenue.
The search turned up seven videos and 11 images of juveniles involved in sexual acts, police allege.
Junior Achievement of Oklahoma offers economic education programs at schools in several counties.
The courses bring volunteers from the business community to classrooms to teach students about financial literacy and navigating the workplace, according to the group's Web site.
Armstrong
said Boyd was named president in 2007 and passed a background check during the hiring process. During his tenure, no red flags raised suspicion, he said.

Probably a good parent, loving husband, faithful Christian who just got caught up. Poor fellow. I am sure that if he prays, God will forgive him for his poor judgment. Sometimes, life makes no sense.

re:Tulsa tulsa- Very good question! Another question I have is; if those things were on there, did he know it? I am NOT defending this guy if he is a pedophile, just asking the first questions that come to mind. Before I had an 'Avast'anti-virus program installed, I had so much garbage just pop up on my computer. I guess since he resigned so quickly we must assume he is a creep....

He isn't smiling in his mug shot, which is featured on newson6's article of today, titled "JAOK President Arrested On Complaints Of Possession Of Child Porn"
(QLC, I think in this smiling photo, Boyd resembles Jenks coach Allan Trimble. In his mug shot, he looks more like comedian Jonathan Winters, when he was younger.)

QLC, after your comment, I went and did some reading about Gacy. I never had spent much time before doing that. This is an introductory paragraph from one website page that stands out:
QUOTE
Not many people who knew him would have suspected that John Wayne Gacy, a respected member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Des Plaines, Ill., a performing clown at neighborhood children's parties, a precinct captain in the local Democratic party, and the owner of his own contracting business would come to be known as one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history.
END QUOTE
and from another page:
QUOTE
To everyone who met him, John Wayne Gacy seemed a likable and affable man. He was widely respected in the community, charming and easy to get along with. He was a good Catholic and sharp businessman who, when not running his construction company was active in the Jaycees and was also a Democratic Party precinct captain, when he had his photo taken with then First Lady, Rosalynn Carter. He also spent much of his free time hosting elaborate street parties for his friends and neighbors, serving in community groups and entertaining children as "Pogo the Clown". He was a generous, hard working, friendly, devoted family man, everyone knew that -- but that was the side of John Wayne Gacy that he allowed people to see.
Underneath the smiling mask of the clown was the face of depraved fiend.
END QUOTE
Some times, you just don't have any idea about what a person is really up to, from outside appearances.
