2 arrested after Tulsa Police find meth lab
By MATT BARNARD World Staff Writer

Last Modified: 11/6/2009 10:27 AM
Police arrested two people after spotting a methamphetamine operation when an apartment tenant answered her door Thursday evening.
Sharon King, 57, opened the door for officers when they went to the house to investigate a report about the lab. When she opened the door, police saw Ervin Gibson, 45, cooking meth on a small griddle.
Police said there were several "shake and bake" style meth labs inside, and the apartment smelled of chemicals.
King and Gibson both convicted felons -- were taken to the Tulsa Jail, where they are being held on complaints of manufacturing drugs, drug possession within 1000 feet of a school or park and possession of paraphernalia.
They are both held without bail, jail records indicate.

After thinking about it, they may be too scary to even let in prison.

To Matt Barnard - Where is the Apartment complex. Those of us who live in apartments or have family or friends who do...we want more details. Don't forget your early Journalism class training, "who, what, when, where, how?" and if the incident is in Hollywood..."what were they wearing?"
Thanks

Why would someone wnat to do that to themselves. It's so sad. The pictures speak 1000 words. My husband had a door decorating contest at his school during Red Ribbon Week. On his door, he put a bunch of before/after pictures of people on meth, pictures of their teeth, skin, etc. It was really awful. But, it got the point across.

Meth people seem to ALWAYS be white. I posted that question a few "meth" stories ago. I have no idea why it is, but in all my years, I have yet to see a picture of a meth dealer/cooker/user that is anything other than a white person. It's the strangest thing...

Pippin is a twit. Does it ever occur to you that this isn't the only story that Matt is working on, and that your need to know everything, right now, isn't realistic. He could have just waited until he knew everything there was to know about it and you wouldn't have known the difference. Maybe, just maybe, he has to confirm some facts before he tells more. You remember what facts are don't you? And how is knowing where this apartment is going to help you or your friends in any way? Any of us could be living next door to a meth lab and not know it until something like this happens.
If Matt's pace isn't fast enough for you then go check the story out somewhere else and come back when you don't have anything left to gripe about.
