Man surrenders hours after being shot at by police
Zachary Labadie

A man was in custody Friday night, hours after a Tulsa police officer shot at him while attempting to arrest him at a car wash near 93rd Street and Sheridan Road that afternoon.
The man, identified as Zachary Labadie, tried to run over an officer with a car during the attempted arrest, and police fired several rounds at him as he fled about 3 p.m. Friday, police reported.
Officers had searched through the evening for Labadie, whom they were attempting to arrest on warrants when the events escalated at a car wash at 93rd Street and Sheridan Road.
After he was shot at, Labadie drove south on Sheridan and crashed his vehicle near 6700 E. 97th St., where he got out and ran away, Officer Leland Ashley said.
A woman was in the car with Labadie when he took off on foot. She was uninjured and is cooperating with detectives, police said.
Labadie surrendered to police late Friday at the QuikTrip at 9600 S. Riverside Parkway, an arrest report says.
He was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he was treated for injuries. It was not immediately clear whether he had been shot or had other injuries.
He was booked into the Tulsa Jail about 10:45 p.m., with his bail set at more than $26,000.
Following the incident, buses at Jenks East Elementary School, near 91st Street and Harvard Avenue, were held at the school out of precaution. The students later were allowed to leave.

Another case of a suspect trying to run over the office with their cars. I'm glad that the officer's weren't hurt and hope that everyone in that neighbor hood remains safe.

We must have the determination to start locking these worthless thugs up for a long, long time.
Tulsa is getting over-run with these low-class thugs.

No one "tried to run over a cop". Placing yourself in front of a vehicle and claiming "assault!" if it budges is the oldest trick in the book. You can thank the FOP for that, too.

KOTV also reported that non-uniformed undercover officers approached the suspect while he was in a car wash.
I would have been thinking "robbery" at that point, too.

Whirled Peas- Well according to TV the woman with the suspect in the car stated he was trying to run over the officer and that the officer who fired shots was plainly identified with badge and Tulsa Police written in large letters. Also the fact that the suspect ran away after crashing leaving his girlfriend, would suggest he did not think he was the victim of a crime when analyzed by a person with two brain cells.
But that kinda leaves some people out doesn't it?
