COVINGTON, La. — An alleged Ku Klux Klan member has been found competent to stand trial in connection with the killing of a Tulsa woman who reportedly tried to back out of a Klan initiation ceremony last year in St. Tammany Parish.

Dr. Michelle Garriga, who works in the Eastern Louisiana Mental Health System's forensic division and was appointed by the court to examine 21-year-old Shane Foster, said Tuesday that Foster now understands legal procedures well enough to proceed. He faces a charge of obstruction of justice.

Foster is the son of Raymond "Chuck" Foster, the alleged imperial wizard of the Bogalusa Sons of Dixie Knights. Chuck Foster is charged with second-degree murder in the Nov. 9, 2008, shooting death of Klan recruit Cynthia Lynch. Authorities have said the slaying occurred after Lynch told him she wanted to go home.

They must be more prevalent then people suspect if the State of Idaho felt compelled enough to pass state laws restricting the activities of certain churches and religious movements in their state.

I hope he gets the death penalty and the rest of his klan are brought to justice for any criminal acts they have committed. These people are a blight on our society.

If the TW ever adds audio to go along with the stories, this guy should have "Dualling Banjo's" playing.

what a whack job...you can pretty much see it in his eyes. I would say he's a disappointment to his parents, but his daddy is the leader so I am sure they are fully supportive.

Seems cases like this should bring charges against the whole klan, accesory charges maybe? probably not, but sure would be nice.

"he now understands legal procedures well enough to proceed"

WTH!!! Maybe if he spent less time at Klan ralllies he would and could understand legal proccedings.

I bellieve these extreme groups are a major concern, but I question if they have the numbers they claim to have. If they have the numbers they claim how is it that Obama was elected president?

I just don't understand how people spend their every waking moment hating people of a different race!! If these same people put that same energy into positive things we could perhaps solve some of the world's biggest problems.

You're right joyce. I know the family of this woman. She had some emotional problems but she was not retarded. They did horrible, HORRIBLE things to her. I hope they rot in Hell for what they did to this woman. She did not deserve any of this.

I remember the article TW did about this woman and her struggles. She was taken advantage of because there are always those who will when someone is longing for friendship.
.
I bet it's safe to say we have all made bad choices in our life time. None of us deserve to die because we made a bad choice.
.
I still think about her mom and what she has had to deal with.

You need to listen to what Cynthia's mother was saying. Childlike daughter duped by KKK. Her mother knew she was in Louisiana. Listen to the video again. I know Virginia L. Ogg Bailey Lynch. She didn't want Cynthia when she was born. She had her in boarding schools by the time she was 11 yrs old. She had her married off by the time she was 18. Her Childlike daughter.
Virginia had to become her guardian again. She knew Cynthia should not have been left alone. She expected someone else to take care of her. The only thing Virginia is upset about, is Cynthia's biological family had to find out on the news on how she died. Her biological family was not permitted to see her. Listen to Virginia's interview again.

Bullhead, how do you know the family? Do you know Virginia or Manning?

Virginia nad Manning are as guitly for knowing and not protecting Cynthia, as the Foster's and the other members of this group. Virginia wanted someone else to take care of Cynthia. Well they did. Forever. Virginia should have charges brought up against her, for knowing that Cynthia was with the KKK. For putting her Childlike daughter in danger and for not protecting her. Virginia even told Manning not to admit that Cynthia was even his sister.

How do I know them. Cynthia and Manning are my half-siblings. We had the same father.

Corvetteguy and Faith.

This is in Louisiana. You can get off for murder but get sentenced for life for stealing $1,500 worth of electronics from Wal-Mart.

There were 8 people involved.

4 got off with no charges.
1 4 years will be out sooner.
1 1 year out in 6 months.
1 finally able to go to trial
1 waiting for trial (Dec. 7), trying to plea bargain for manslaughter, instead of 2nd degree murder.

Foster has been investigated by the FBI for 8 years. They still have not done anything about him. Foster is a controller. You do what he says. He is in other chapters of the KKK in Louisiana. Go back to the first story, or google Cynthia C. Lynch and watch the CNN video. That is how I found out my sister was murdered.

I was not putting her down. I remember the article well. I feel for her mother. Sorry if you took it wrong. I was not condemning her. No way. Anyone that knows me knows I do not look at the death of a child lightly.
